The Alderson Broaddus Sport Management Student Association (SMSA) will be hosting the Tri-County Collectible Show on January 26 and 27, 2019 at the Harrison County Recreation Complex.
The show will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
SMSA is a student organization at Alderson Broaddus University geared toward community service and engagement through sport. SMSA has volunteered with Harrison County Parks and Recreation’s Challenger league, as well as their annual Punt, Pass and Kick competition. SMSA members are provided with these community service projects in addition to learning opportunities through home sports at AB.
“Sport doesn’t stop at social, economic or political lines, it welcomes everyone, and our students have embraced the opportunity to help North Central West Virginia by committing to community engagement through sport,” advisor Philip Fetty said.
If you want to be a vendor for the two-day event, please contact SMSA President Shea Roblin by email at RoblinSL@battlers.ab.edu or phone at (304) 476-1013. You can also contact SMSA Advisor Philip Fetty by email at FettyPT@ab.edu or phone at (304) 627-5966. The deadline to reserve tables is January 16. SMSA students will be available to assist with set-up upon request.
In addition to vendors selling items, there will be raffles for memorabilia including a Nick Saban autographed football and an Antonio Brown signed picture.
At least a quarter of the proceeds from the Tri-County Collectible Show will be donated to Animal Friends of Barbour County, with the remainder going toward the operation of SMSA including fuel costs for community service and educational experiences for members.
