Philippi, W.Va. – Alderson Broaddus University Nursing Faculty Instructor Emily Starks was honored as one of the 40 Under 40 Emerging Leaders by the Future of Nursing West Virginia.
The Future of Nursing West Virginia is an action coalition comprised of a diverse array of stakeholders, charged with transforming health care through nursing.
“For me nursing is a deeply personal calling, my life’s work,” said Starks. “I am honored to be among the outstanding emerging nurse leaders recognized by this award. Nursing plays an integral role in the health of our state and country. As the nurses’ role continues to expand in the future, I hope to be able to educate and mentor future nurse leaders.”
The purpose of the 40 Under 40 Award is to engage, support and develop the next generation of West Virginia Nurse Leaders. All award winners will receive their awards on August 19th at the annual awards gala.
